St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital in Tampa today announced that it has received a $5 million donation from the Steinbrenner family, long-time philanthropists and principal owners of the New York Yankees. This transformative gift reaffirms the family’s ongoing commitment to pediatric health care and expands their multigenerational support of the hospital’s emergency and trauma services. A pregame, on-field ceremonial check presentation from the Steinbrenner family to St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital was held prior to tonight’s game.
