Meet chef ORLANDO R. MORALES
Executive Chef, George M. Steinbrenner Field
Orlando grew up on a farm in Arizona, where his dad taught him from a young age how to cook over an open fire and care for the animals and land. His mom, who made everything from scratch, inspired his appreciation for homemade food and the joy of cooking. That’s where his passion for cooking began, transforming simple ingredients into something people can truly enjoy.
After high school, he attended culinary school in Arizona and landed his first cooking job soon after. He was fortunate to train under talented chefs in French restaurants, learning the foundations of classic French cuisine. He later expanded into Southwest cuisine and gained valuable experience working in convention centers and resorts.
In 1996, he was hired to help open Seattle’s KeyArena for the NBA’s SuperSonics, which led him into the world of sports venues. Over the years, he’s had the privilege of working events such as MLB Championships, five Super Bowls, NBA Championships, NHL arenas, and more.
Most recently, he’s been part of major events including the 2024 Yankees Playoffs & World Series in New York City and the 2020 Miami Open and Super Bowl in Miami.
Now, having relocated with his family to the Tampa Bay area, he’s proud to be part of the New York Yankees organization at their stadium. He looks forward to creating memorable experiences for our guests, from the concession’s food scene to Suites, clubs and catering by creating food destinations and menus that our guest can enjoy!
